Come the last week of April and St Anton am Arlberg, an Austrian village in the Tyrolean Alps, is swarmed with thousands of skiers and snowboarders from around the world. This is one difficult race which will test your physical limits. It is open to all but suitable to some as we have seen. There is an atmosphere of fun and nervousness. The terrain provides a challenge for the skiers calling for a display of their skiing skills.
At 1700 hours, the race starts for the stretch of 12 km from the Valluga to the valley. Spectators and participants enjoy the scenic Arlberg Region. The colourfully and extravagantly dressed participants who go down the slopes after the race is over cannot be missed. The party kicks in after the prizes have been awarded. It’s a fantastic event full of fun and joie-de-vivre!
