Learning is fun at Arinsal Resorts

Always wanted to learn skiing? As you visualize snow, you always imagine people in colourful getups skiing down the slopes. This is something you may have always wanted to try and enjoy.

As the skiing season starts, lots of children and adults with a passion for skiing line up to try their hand at skiing.

What better way to do it than when you are on a holiday! The best place in Europe to learn skiing is the Arinsal resort in the northern-most valley of Andorra, between France and Spain in the Pyrenees mountains, where BASI approved instructors provide lessons. They have group and private lessons for beginners as well as for skiers who want to make it to the next level.

In addition to skiing, Arinsal has more attractions, including a vivacious nightlife, attractive accommodation and delicious local cuisine. The bars, though lively, are very much family friendly.

Blood Rush at ‘The White Rush’ (Der Weisse Rausch)

Come the last week of April and St Anton am Arlberg, an Austrian village in the Tyrolean Alps, is swarmed with thousands of skiers and snowboarders from around the world. This is one difficult race which will test your physical limits. It is open to all but suitable to some as we have seen. There is an atmosphere of fun and nervousness. The terrain provides a challenge for the skiers calling for a display of their skiing skills.

img2At 1700 hours, the race starts for the stretch of 12 km from the Valluga to the valley. Spectators and participants enjoy the scenic Arlberg Region. The colourfully and extravagantly dressed participants who go down the slopes after the race is over cannot be missed. The party kicks in after the prizes have been awarded. It’s a fantastic event full of fun and joie-de-vivre!
